Parent/Caregiver Involvement

There are lots of ways to get involved as a parent/caregiver.  Your expertise is needed in a variety of ways to make change, improve services, inspire others, and lend support.  Consider joining us in any of the following ways:

PAC (Parent Advocacy Council)

The Parent Advocacy Council equips and supports parents in their endeavor to advocate for themselves, their children, and their communities.  Check out the CFP Events Calendar for meeting times or email

PEPS (Parents Empowering Parents)

Parents Empowering Parents is a support group for those who care for children with complex behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.  Check out the CFP Events Calendar for meeting times.

Workgroups or committees may be related to a single project or ongoing.  Costs associated with participation may be reimburseable.  Call 616.301.0598 for a current list of opportunities.

Share your story

We routinely use family stories to help inspire others and to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues.  YOUR STORY MATTERS.  Let us help you find a place to share it – in print, through a quote, on a video, at a presentation or event, on a radio interview…the possibilities are endless.  Call 616.558.0204 for more infomation.

Volunteer at events

Check out the CFP Events Calendar for upcoming events that you may be interested in assisting with.
